  1. Just a dumb question...what kinds of cars are considered H.A.M.B. friendly ??...and what others don't qualify ??

  2. Depends on the phase of the moon, and the resulting mood around here. But generally 64 and earlier.

  3. Same rules as Good Guys.........................................

  4. Just about anything with 4 wheels that pre '64,,but there are exceptions and no rat rods! HR[

Pre-64, Traditional Hot Rods and Customs.

64 and older stock stuff is generally OK as well.

IFS on a roadster is not traditional, neither is EFI, billet parts, big stupid modern wheels, digital gauges, etc.

And generally domestic stuff, although select foreign cars get the OK, mainly those used drag cars back in the day, such as Topolinos, Anglias, etc.

VWs are not allowed, neither are Mustangs.

Sometimes easier to list what it ain't instead of what it is. Although many of us have multiple interests, it's pretty safe to say you don;t want top post about your:

    Rot Rod
Billet filled Street rod no matter what year
Custom VW, minitruck, 70s van, lifted 4wd
    Muscle car
    Pony car
Post 1964 vehicle unless it has some tie to traditional
    Anything obvious I left out?

It's just too bad there are not sites or communities of this level for those pursuits. It is tempting to join in, even if you don't have a trad vehicle, but get ready for a little roasting. Part of the fun.

  7. Ahhh, I long for the days when the HAMB was unfriendly to most... and newbies with 264 posts would be flogged unmercifully for not reading the rules.

From the Classifieds, but it's generally what's accepted as HAMB friendly:
Each item listed must include at least a body and a rolling frame. Cars and Trucks only. Motorcycles should be listed at www.jockeyjournal.com
THE CUTOFF IS 1964. Unless the vehicle shares the EXACT same body style. NO VW'S or Mustangs. There are plenty of other sites for them.

THE HAMB IS NOT A RAT ROD SITE. RAT RODS ARE NOT TRADITIONAL HOT RODS. IF YOU HAVE TO ASK - SIT BACK AND READ THE HAMB A WHILE BEFORE POSTING.

Basically, if you didn't, couldn't, have seen it in 1964, it is not H.A.M.B. friendly. VERY few exceptions. Post something outside that limit and you may be flamed big time.
Think before posting. If you have any doubts, don't.

This doesnt quite fit the HAMB's norm, but I think it would be acceptable:)

...Also, as an example, chevy c-10 was the same body style from 60-66. So a 66 can be considered HAMB friendly. As long as it sticks to the same "style". No 22" wheels, ect...

Weinermobile was designed in 1936. Therefore, most likely HAMB friendly.
Cool as all getout anyway. Needs red rims and WW though. Maybe a Mexican blanket.

Best to just post up the particular vehicle in question. If it's aceptable, one of us will speak up and let you know. If it's not, 300 will step up to bitch at you over it.

Actually, 20 will flame you, one guy will agree and then 20 more will agree and then every other post will be an reply to the previous. In the end it will be all hugs and kisses and the thread will get closed.
