Thank you sir. I just do the best I can with the tools and talent I have. Plus I've had some damn good teachers

  12. I have to be honest, at first I thought it was going to look terrible. But, you proved me wrong. You have a good vision brother, it looks stellar! What do you have planned next?

    Looks freakin' great!

How about painting the radiator flat black to hide it?

    Looks bitchen.

  15. Wow Mike, that looks great! I dig the idea of using the light up hood emblem as a floater. At one point I had considered doing the same with my 49, and then looked at a 54 grille for a while, and ended up going a different direction.

I love the 53 Chev surround without the ribs, and the hood looks tits. Great job!

Kudos on the attitude, man! :D I wish all customizers were driven by the same concept, i.e., how to make a good thing BETTER.

    Looks great

I had exactly the same idea when building the 48 HUDZN, and several different ideas were concidered. I found a Chevy grill surround and after setting it up I decided to go back to the first design. I did use the original Hudson bonnet parts to form a grill. I took it to the stage of making a master pattern and mould to produce a fibreglass grill bar that would have been plated and fitted with the back lit repoduction centre.
The front design changed but the grill bar stayed to almost the final mock up stage when it was replaced by a much different design.

First of all, that car is amazing. I found that first picture online somewhere, and that was where I got the idea for the '50 grill bar. It makes such a nice floating bar.
    Second, thanks for the compliment.
