My 64 Chevrolet truck's instrument cluster is in need of repair. I'm looking for the colored plastic film that shades the turn signals indicators, temp lights, etc. I'm sure somebody sells it but I can't seem to find it. Anybody have a source??

  2. Whne I rebuild an instrument cluster I go into the u-pull-it and take out the colored film from another cluster.

I rebuilt the cluster in my 65 last year and was able to find colored transparent plastic at a scrap book store that my wife shops at.I had to double it up to come close to the correct color, but it worked very well.

check with theatrical supply places for lighting gel material. Lots of colors and high heat resistance. The little bit you need would be cheap.

  5. A large music store, like Guitar Center, may have it as well. Ask for light gels.

PM me your address and I will mail you some of what I get. They are 9x9 sheets so I will never use all that....

I thought of that but the cluster is so deep that it would be a glow rather than a light....
