Truck looks great. Especially the bed/cab tie in. Do you have anymore in progress pics of the back cab corner metal work? I really like how you made the cab flow into the bed and am going to attempt to clean mine up in similar fashion. Just the cab, not the spears. Although the spears on yours really do look sweet.

If I can ever find a bed. Let alone a donor for the section I will need. Those things are hard to come by.

The only thing that I've done to it is install the stereo. I did an iPod/iPhone setup. I'll put up some pics soon. Other than that I have just been driving the crap out of it.

I cant decide if I like the bed extension or not. But I can tell you I relooked at it at Roundup this year and never even noticed. So either I was blind, too close, or was chasing a 4.5yo hoodlum. Or its just that good. Its probably that last one.

Been a while since I've been on here...
If you didn't notice it, that's kind of the point. Wanted it to look like it was meant to be there the whole damn time. But, when you do notice it, that's the "aaaaa ha" moment.
I am finally about to get around to doing the bumpers soon and try to fix/ finish a lot of bodywork.

What was that aluminum panel you used for a bed floor? Everytime I see the truck, we always discuss what each of us think it originally was.

    It's a 3/4" aluminum honeycomb panel.

Lovin this build. Everything I would want in a truck. Keep up the great work!

Unless I missed it, what did you do for paint? I was considering this for my Caddy for a while, then decided against it. But now I am reconsidering!!

Not yet. Will be getting to that sometime this year I hope. Going to take a lot of body work, so I figured I will try and tackle the rest of the body at the same time.

Shock mount ripped a big chunk off of my frame. Going to get it fixed before Texas Nostalgia Nationals on Saturday.

So I haven't posted anything in a long time. I really haven't done a whole lot anyways. I have just started on modifying my GMC grille. Love the GMC grilles, but the turn signal ends never fit right from the factory in my opinion. Even if you can find the turn signal housings, it will put you back a ton of money. So I am doing a GMC/Chevy combo. The chevy turn signal sheet metal fits the surround perfect, so I decided to do that. I will eventually put a '54 bel aire or corvette center bar on it.

I really like where your going with that bumper. Any more progress pics? What's that bumper from?

I have lusted after this truck since I first saw it. There were some *kids* with a red(ish) and white Apache at DotD a few years ago and either in 2014 or 2013 with the rear bumper treatment you are showing in the pic above this post. It really looked good. Hope my step side turns out good enough to sit close to yours one day.

Dang! Thanks! I actually traded it recently. I acquired a solid 1936 ford 5 window.

It was really tough to do and I miss the truck, but it's a great car and I look forward to working on this one. I just don't think I would have ever finished the truck. I still had so much I wanted to do to it. Excuses excuses...I know...
