Good morning! My name is Michelle and I was recommended to this site a few times since making a couple purchases. The first is a 1947 Ford 1.5 ton truck. Flathead V8 with a tilting bed. Rebuilt the carb and it runs better, but have transmission issues at the moment. At the previous owner's place. Home! Interior needs a little work. Making progress.
The second is an old DoodleBug (or Depression Tractor or whatever other name you want to give it). Pictures from the previous owner's place. From what I have been told from those that know far more than me. It's a 1928/1929 Model AA truck frame. Has a '31 cowl. Also has the 1928 truck wheels in the front, which I was told were only made that one year. Still plenty to learn on it, but it runs and drives! Oh yeah, those are some kind of running boards too by the rear wheels.
Welcome from the Great State of Maine! Love the truck and the doodlebug, that's what we called here. Tilt bed......do I sense a car hauler in the making?
I am just south of you in Hubertus. I can't see myself using it for a car hauler. My husband collects vintage garden tractors, so more likely he'll throw some up there and take it to the tractor show and not take them off. I have a nice trailer and my daily driver for my car hauling needs.
Howdy neighbor! The doodlebug is cool, looks like alot of thought went into it compared to the many I have seen. And a two seater at that.
