Well it ran 9.90 in 1967, I have never pushed it very hard and ran 11.0 @ 128

I know it is faster than Eric's gold 55.

 

Can not wait for this event, we had a ball last years and I lost count of how many passes I did down the strip. When you guys stood on the the tower and said that all you wanted to see was what it would have looked like in the early 60 at a drag strip that just made my day, very cool. We will be there rain or shine!

 

We can line up again I can shut you down one more time....in case you forgot...

What are rules? Buddy axed me if piecrust slicks are only kind you can run I said NO! We can run modern slicks on old car? Correct? like these?

Yes, new slicks are OK.

There are bathrooms, but not showers.

Von Hartmann and I were at the Byron strip on the 4th. Ron, one of the owners said he was @ Bowling Green and he was surprised to hear a lot of racers there talking about our event. This is going to be one awsome crazy time. I wouldn't want to compare the Meltdown to Woodstock but this is one event, if you miss it you will kick yourself for a long time to come.

 

So can we camp at the track Fri-Sun?

 

I have always seen camping at the track, and they do have showers.
I know of of several motor homes and campers going there on Friday.
