  2. Looks great! You did a fantastic job, and the Model A looks awesome. I also got my pleated vinyl from Garys in Florida. Great people to do business with. Just to show others here that you can do your upholstery yourself here's a couple pics of mine done with the same stuff, and I never sewed a thing in my life before this. Under $ 400.00 total including the trunk. It's just a matter of taking your time, and in my case listening to my wife on how the sewing machine works. Sorry, I don't mean to steal your thread.

  3. Looks great. I like the way you've stitched plain panels across the top off the doors.
If I remember rightly the Rolf coupe used the same material for the upholstery.

Looks good, Bassman! Nothing like doing it yourself.

It is a good feeling to know YOU built your car, eh?

They used to sell that pleated vinyl at my local Farm store... and cut pile carpeting, too. There are several cars running around here with home brewed interiors... nice job.

A local parts house had either pleated or diamond pleated material on rolls that you could buy by the yard or running foot back in the 80's and early 80's. I think that there still are a number of cars that were done with it floating around.

Years ago I took a roll of vinyl material and the old covers off a pair of bucket seats and had a woman who did furniture upholstery in her garage at home stitch up new covers and then I put them back on the seats. It turned out pretty well and the cost was pretty low.
