    Cut the coils and used a 3" lowering block in the rear.

    How many coils? I cut 2 and that seems like all you can go.

    2 1/2? Maybe 3? To be honest I don't really remember and it was the 1st time I'd ever done anything like that so I had virtually no clue what I was doing and was just hoping I'd be able to get the car back together. I seem to remember it lowered the front of the car 4 inches on the drivers side and 4 1/4 on the passenger which evened it out.
     
  6. That's one fine looking more door ...just lower it and drive it as is ...leave all the door handles on ...great old Iron Indian !!

    Forever a 55 Pontiac fan! I used to own an 870 4-door sedan (55-2519D) but please don't go street rod, keep it as your boulevard cruiser.. i wouldn't even lower it, just add wide whites and full wheel covers (maybe lancer if you don't wanna go original), skirts (painted type not stainless) and an illuminating hood ornament with the amber insert, then drive it around the world!
