To my brother Chris... RIP. We have outstanding members within the Rumblers cc and Chris was one of the coolest, most upstanding and sincere brother. His club was his family, we all are feeling a great void due to the unexpected passing.. RFFR my brother... Ride in Peace.

To my Cleveland brothers... Keep that torch lit. Respects !

We're picking up a running Cad engine today and should be getting the project going this evening. It looks like everything is going to turn out well. Chris was one of those guys you couldn't help but like.

With a huge turnout of friends to get the engine, strip it, re-assemble it, squeeze it in,and fire it up, it looks like his 49 will be at the funeral today. Chris was an awesome guy, and was surrounded by many who would do anything for him. We will miss him terribly.

  23. condolances to all family and friends.

look like Chris had a bunch of great friends and it shows.

    -rest in peace.

Chris's mom and dad were able to take him home in the ford home after the services. It was just like old times following it down the road. Thanks to everyone that pitched in to get the car running, it meant the world to his family as I'm sure you all know.

Although our paths crossed a couple times in the past I didn't really become good friends with Chris until the last year-which is unfortunate because he is one of the most down to earth and solid guys I've ever met. He lived right around the corner from me so it was rare if more than a couple days passed where we didn't talk. I'm very thankful for all his help working on my 54. It won't be the same without him around.

I was wondering how things went at his funeral and had to look up this thread again. So glad to hear you guys got the car running so it could be there.

What that reminded me of is the Riderless Horse that is sometimes used in State funeral processions. I remember John F. Kennedy had one and it was really a very respectful thing to see. I think having your friend's car there was very much like that, and I bet he was looking down and smiling the whole time. It was fantastic that so many of his friends worked so hard to make this happen.

    Don
