Hey all! I'm Jay, I'm from southern Ontario, and I do paint/body for a living. I have a '58 Pontiac Parisienne that I've had for the last 10 years. It's been in the family for over 30 years at this point. (I even have the side trim and some flames tatted on my forearm) I've known about the H.A.M.B. for quite a while, and finally decided to stop lurking and introduce myself. Thanks all! I'll be honest, the car's been sitting a fair bit the last few years, but I've been busting my ass the last few weeks gettin her back up to snuff. All is right with the world again, with 'er back on the road!
Welcome from Finland! NICE CAR!!! You sure don´t see many of those! As I´m sure You know, your "Parisienne" is basically "1958 Bonneville" looks w/1958 Chevy Impala -dimensions&mechanicals! I have a similar-year Impala myself, built in Oshawa.
Yep, I've been asked that before..."why did you put a chevy motor in it?" My response is usually "I didn't, GM did" Mine is also an Oshawa built car. I live about 20 minutes away from there, too....so the car is pretty much back home after being sold new in Alberta.
