Thank you very much, I've been working on old cars most of my life and this is the first car I have built for myself from the ground up. I have a group of great friends that have been a tremendous help
Finally off the stands, for a little while anyway. Managed to get the windshield, window trim and part of the garnish molding in.
How did you get the molding aroung the windshield off and put it back on? I have a '58 and I'm curious about how you did it (I don't have a manual yet).
Around the top outside? There are tiny nuts under the headliner right behind the window rubber. The bottom trim is captured by the rubber in a L channel built into the rubber gasket, not much way to get it out without removing the gasket itself. Hope this helps if not pm me
Finally back working on the impala, the door and rear panels are in and finally made a decision on wheels and tires Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Thanks. Got a lot of crap when people found out I was going yellow, but after we sprayed it people seem to like it Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Glad you stuck to your guns. Most folks I know would've stuck to "retail" colors. That's cause there favorite color is green$$$$$. Always build what you want. that way you've satisfied your #1 critic. I've gotten grief for the few minor custom touches I'm doin on my '55. But I've made me happy.
