Thats at the Early Ford Store in San Dimas isnt it?
I was there the other month, recognise the racks and stuff in the background.
alternator and radials are a shame, otherwise, great looking car.
so what is inside the motor? must be pretty full-on to cost that sort of money.

I'm more impressed by the results of money wisely spent than "cost is no object" extravagance. I would expect 600 hp for that kind of money. A $60,000.00 engine in a $600.00 car makes little sense to me as well.

  10. Looks like a pretty fancy gold plated oilpan !! Is that where the money went ? Over here the old fart model A restores brag about their 6000 euro banger rebuilds.

If you look real close you can see the engines made of hundred dollar bills cut down to shape, more environmentally friendly :)

maybe it's a 6k motor that was blown up 10 time?

  14. For $60,000 I hope he used a Donovan Model D block and 5 main crank. Which it doesn't look like it.

How in the hell is it possible to spend 60k on a motor? This has to be a typo. Im sorry to say this but looks like you got the shaft by your engine builder!!

    Documented and verified?
That's where the other 50 grand went. 10 for the engine and the rest for paperwork.

It's possible - after all the DoD is know to purchase toilet seats at $3000 a pop haha

  27. With all of the documenting going on, how about some photos of the modifications and custom parts.
I would like to see what coolness resides in the engine.
    Seriously.

+2. Just because it was spent, doesn't mean it was spent wisely. I'd hate to think what running a copper fuel line that close to an exhaust tube will result in after some time on the road.
