So what happens when you grab the wife to lend you hand on your shoebox?

Mine could care less and won't go any closer to the roadster than the passengers door. And that's just to get in for a ride.

My wife is the best she always helps me push or pull crap around the yard. She hates it when I have her drive my truck whie pulling something onto the lift lol.
Anyway, nice of her to help too bad about the thumb.

The only thing I let my wife help me with is removing the hardtop on the vette.
I haven't figured out a way to do it myself short of putting in one of those pulley
    contraptions up to the ceiling.

My wife has never tried to cut my thumb off, but she did try to run me over pulling the truck into the shop. Tonight she reassembled the 64 vette 327 while I was taking care of some frame issues.

OUCH ! OK so you smashed your thumb like all of us have done many time before as well . So why are you blaming your wife ?
My wife tells me when dinner is ready but she will not help me with the car ! She always tells me , "it's your car not mine" !
Honestly if I really needed her to help me with something , she would . I am just one of those guys that would rather do everything by myself . I never had any help before I married her 29 years ago , so why would I change the way I do things now .
Like I said she will help me if I need the help ! This year I shot a deer on the farm next to my house . It was pouring rain and I needed help pulling the deer out of the field . (Bad back) Well I did called her and about 20 mins later here she comes in the pouring rain , in a rain coat and umbrella with a flashlight to give me a hand !
Now how many of your wifes would do that for you ? So YES she will help me when I really need a hand with something ! I guess I am just very Lucky to have a really great wife ! :D

Speaking of having the wife help out, This is No Bullshit I know a guy who was too tight to hire a roofing company to put his roof on, (insurance paid him well on a hail claim, But he decided to do it himself and earn the labor money himself) Anyhow he was a little scared to walk the Backside of the roof without being tied off to something...(Because of it being a 2 story drop) So Not having the right equipment, He thought it would be a good idea to just run the rope over the front side of the roof and down to the driveway and tie off to the front bumper of his pickup parked in the driveway. It was hot as hell that day, So I do not know if he was just not thinking clearly, But needless to say, He ask his wife to run over to a friends and borrow a tar paper stapler......Her car was in the garage and his pickup was in front of the garage door, So she just jumped in and away she went!!....And I don't have to tell you what happened next.........Looking back The story is kinda funny Now, But it Damn near killed him....

So what's the story? what happened and how?
My wife helps me in the shop all the time. I hurt myself and she laughs..and then patches me up. I got her her own coveralls that say crew chief on them. She fits in those tight spots that I can't reach. She has no problem crawling under the car to work on something...unless she sees a spider
