Took some time off from my 64 Fairlane wagon build to help a buddy work on his 60 Edsel Ranger. Here's how it started out.

We removed the Y block, installed a 5.0 and AOD trans and AC. We also got rid of some rust in the trunk, installed a gas tank out of a 69 Cougar and made a new floor.

Can't buy quarters, no problem we'll make them. Not 100% but better than what was there.

Finally, he broke down and bought some new shoe's and I talked him into giving it a altitude adjustment.

Not to shabby for less than 4,000.00 total invested.
Yep, he's gonna keep the EFI. We've got it running, just need a drive shaft and he'll be driving the wheels off of it.
his car his wheels and engine type. when people dont like something on my car i tell they can buy it and do anything they want to. i keep a can in the car when im told i need to paint it. i offer up the can , im taking any and all donations for paint
It pretty much "done" he's not gonna paint it or anything, just drive it. We have one other project we did in a weekend for another co-worker. He had a totaled Dakota, and a 50 Studebaker truck body. Why not combine the two? I talked him out of using the Dakota bed and use an old bed he was hauling wood in. Kept the Dakota frame, suspension, engine and floorpan, dropped the Studebaker body on. I'm sure the same people who don't like the Edsel's wheels/engine will hate this to but again its their cars their money. This one was done for less than 500.00
