This is the 31 Coupe I built when living in SoCal. Sold it to a guy in Palmdale. Should have kept it.

Ok since you asked. 31 coupe with a 1957 265 Chevy with a Nicson 2x2 intake connected to a Muncie 4 speed built on a Riley frame kicked 4 inches in the front and 8 in the rear.

Oh man.. What I wouldn't give for a Nicson 2x2 intake. There isn't a smiley for envy because this is the most appropriate situation for one of those.

This belongs to Richie Whalen of Malden, MA., the car was built by Howard Towne of Rumney, NH.

Howard builds some of the best traditional cars in the Northeast and he's a fantastic guy to boot!.

  22. Russco, your photo is my desktop and CRUZR's white wheel and dash is where my minds at. True tradition right there in both of them.

Many other A's here certainly help get a guy excited - keep showing these works in progress. Here's mine yet to be started....

always in progress. 7 inch chop and custom frame 64' 260 v-8 with a T-10 4 speed. I bought it with the rear quarters rusted off and just molded in the back.

My gramps drives a 29 that looks just like yours except with the factory wheels painted yellow with yellow pinstripe down the sides. He usually doesn't stray too far from restoring his cars back to their original condition but we made and exception by putting in a model B motor and shoehorning in an ac compressor so he can take it to car shows this summer. The original paint schemes on the model A's are the coolest too. My favorite i've seen yet is our 29 phaeton he restored about 20 years ago.. Deep turquoise with black fenders yellow pinstripe and yellow wheels.. The next A we build will be a 28 roadster pickup.. Im thinkin it needs to be dropped to the ground with our 283 sbc in it but I'm having trouble getting pops on the bandwagon :(

  27. Great starting point Lazy A. Look forward to progress..
