Was doing some more cleaning of the car and checking things out. I thought the headers were old fentons but they are actuallly some old Sanderson headers with the Superman type logo in the collector. I am trying to identify the exact engine year as it is a 21 stud flatty with the water pumps in the block. I checked the head numbers and they read 77E-6050. I tried looking up that number and it seems that it maybe a higher compression replacement cast Iron head? I read a few posts and supposedly the "E" is for an English head? It has the firing order cast into the head. Anbody have any information on the heads they can share?

Congratulations Paul on getting the car back in the family. I so wanted your roadster but I didn't want to deal with the issues California DMV would have presented.

Block is 37-early 38. 37 head has the firing order casting...

  9. The history behind this one is worth it's weight in gold, now that it's back in the fold.
Hopefully, your off-spring will appreciate it as well.

Thanks Jeff, I know you would be a person that would definitely appreciate this car. A lot people seem to tell me that this car has too much class for me, I'm stumped.

Here are some more pics I took yesterday after coming back from our club meeting. A little hot yesterday and she started to act up on the way back. Looking into upgrading the cooling system so she'll stay cool.

One of the other cool things is that I was able to transfer the really. really Low numbered Antique/Historic tag with an 004G. That is one of the early Pennsylvania Antique tags.

In the top pic you can see just how much she yearns to have her rear end dropped a tad

Here's another goodie I have been saving to use. This is a crank driven tach that came on my industrial 59AB motor. I think I am going to hook this up to the 21 stud. Its got a really neat Stewart Warner Motor Minder gauge. I am just going to need a longer drive cable

    Paul,
Your cabriolet looked really cool rolling into the meeting on Sunday. Here's a couple of pics I took in the parking lot. It looks like you have the best of both worlds....fresh air cruizin, roll-up windows, and room for the kids. I'm glad you finally got it.

Thanks again guys. I was able to pick up some things to keep this moving along. I ended up getting some larger 6.50 Firestone tires with 4 inch white walls and I stopped at Posies and picked up lowering springs front and rear along with 2 Inch Lowering shackles from V Tardel. Rear should drop about 4 inches and front about 3 inches.

Redoing the brakes now as I was out cruising and the right rear brakes locked up on me. Was able to pull the drum and notice that there was nothing left of the pads at all, down to the rivets. The emergency cable arm popped out and lodged against the drum.
