Are you coming north for goodguy's chopt? if so my shop is right on the way, love for you to stop by.

 

I will be there. I have not missed one yet. I will be bringing the 36 ford coupe and the " rat rod " truck. Maybe something else if i can pull it off. Stop on by when you see the banner for the shop. I would have a beer waiting for ya, but it is so damn expensive!

Can't wait to see how the Merc turns out! Looks like a pretty solid car.

 

Some parts are, some parts aren't. You know the merc territory. So when are we going to build you somethin?? I have a grab on a 57 2 door hardtop soon... or a 57 convertible....

here is a small update on the merc. Been doin a few things to OT cars so I have not had a lot to post. THat and who wants to see filler getting sanded? Really?

Picked up a 49 dash for her


getting some shape to her now!

 

So there has been quite a bit of progress on the merc lately. Here are a few pix of it







and finally off of the frame. Got a few parts from gambino for the suspension. Fatman stub, and a notch/4 link kit for the rear of it. Should look pretty interesting

 

Got the 58 jambed out. Ready for final sanding and paint. Which will include scallops

 

got some moer work done on the model A frame as well. It is now awaiting more parts. We need material for the torque arm, brake line tabs, and a few odds and ends so it can get all finish welded and sent off to powdercoat

 

Man I don't know how you do it,juggling all those projects at once.I can barely keep progress going on my car.Nice dash by the way looks to be a solid donor.

 

REAL solid. Think we are missing a few pieces of hinges for the glovebox door. That's it. Luckily, I get paid to do all of this. That's how I keep up!

 

Having an open house soon. Hope a few of you guys can make it!

The 58 chevy got the roof sprayed yesterday. Been workin on an OT camaro or I would be done already!

I appreciate that. Tryin to mop up the last bit on the 58. Should have it painted by the end of the weekend. Well, that is the hope anyway!

Now there is some words of encouragment! I needed that! Thanks! I have 2 cars that have to be painted in the next few days. Both of which are on the last steps of sanding. Then I have to build a frame or at least get it all fit together for the merc since the owner is flying in from overseas to see it. Anyone know how to weld???!!! HHEELLPP!!! HA HA!

Got the 58 sprayed finally! had an issue with the tape bleeding on the scallops. Damn. But we intended on striping it with an outline anyway. So that will help a bit.

 

looks good im not sure about the rear tho lol kinda looks like a chin strap for a football helmet but im sure its that way for a reason
