Please help us out by forwarding this to all your friends and club members so we can all keep a look out. Thank you, Ron and Cathy Lewis, unfortunately are victims of something dear to us and hope that never happens. They wanted to let you know about their car being stolen this last weekend. Also, if by chance some clue or information comes your way, please pass it on to them. We wish for the return of their prized Chevy. To Our Corvette Club Friends: Ron and I went to the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles to attend a car show this past weekend with some friends from out Heartbeat Chevy Club. The main show we wanted to attend was an all GM Show at Woodley Park on Sunday, June 3rd. We decided to head up to LA on Saturday and stay overnight. We attended a car show on Saturday evening at Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake and were having a great time and looking forward to the next show on Sunday. The folks we traveled with were all former residents of the San Fernando Valley so it was also to be a homecoming of sorts. What you don't know (or might have heard) is that sometime between 10:00 pm Saturday and 6:00 am Sunday morning, our 1955 Chevy Bel Air was stolen from the parking lot of the motel where we were staying. We are still in a state of shock. Attached is a picture of our Chevy and hopefully we will see it again. It's like losing a part of your family. We had the car for 12 years. We thank you in advance for all of your concern and support. Cathy and Ron Lewis Tri-Five Revolution www.Tri-FiveRevolution.com </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
There goes another one stolen from a hotel/motel parking lot !!!! Why don't those places have better security and security cameras ?? The $140 we paid to have a Sheriff baby sit our cars at Billetproof was well worth the money, we got a good nights sleep and our cars were all ok the next morning. Hope your friends find their car, it is beautiful. Don
Sorry to hear about the car being taken. It really one of the nicest 55 I have seen. The way things are today it well worth the money to have a GPS located somewhere in the car. I know some drag racers who have some real serious money in their car and the hauler that they had GPS untis placed on the tractor, trailer, and the race car. Even a cheap cell phone that has a GPS unit included that could be turned on and tracked is a good idea. My laptop has a GPS unit inside the case. Jimbo
Oh man I feel for them! When I went down to the Moon Eyes Christmas party , I put one of those dummy Habor Freight driveway alerts under the car. It went off most the night with people walking by, but least I knew when and where.
