Customs Lowering a 54 Mercury Monterey

    It's basically spacers for the plate that is rivited on the the lower control arm where the spring sits. You can save yourself 70 bucks and go to the hardware store and buy square tubing and bolts and make it yourself.

    Remove the entire lower A arm. Drill out the rivets that hold the spring bucket in. Clean and inspect for cracks, repair same. Buy 1/8 wall 1 1/2 square tube long enough to fit between the spring bucket and A arm in four places. Cut, drill, bolt back with grade five or better bolts. Prime, paint, reinstall.
