Didn't make the Ford show this year. Were there a lot of Falcons? last year it was pretty slim Pickens. LaGrasta, dude, I always love to see your car! you did in EXCELLENT job on that one. I am soooo close to getting back to working on mine again :).

  4. Thanks Kai, (falconizer 62). Knott's, for a Ford fan is like Mecca. Nearly 2000 Fords being shown this year!

either way, you guys have way better head selection than us here in the U.S. The seven main six's real limiting factor is the integral head.

There's a certain beauty in simplicity. Your car is a perfect example.

Sorry for stealing an earlier posted picture but i have a question. What sort of money does a 64/65 sell for in nice/very nice condition? Were there many options? Excuse the questions:eek:

I was asked to be a judge at a local car show for Relay for life along with a pinstriper I respect and my favorite custom paint guy and car builder here locally. At the end of the day, we were picking best of show and they were looking at a sweet original black 70 Hemi Cuda and a 69 Camaro with an LSI swap done right.... I on the other hand couldn't get over this totally gorgeous, red, original 260 4 speed 63 Falcon convertible that was loved and cared for and darn near flawless, right down to the original hubcaps.

As we argued over it, I sold the deal this way... i said, "Yes, the Hemi Cuda is cool and rare and expensive and done right, but I've seen a TON of Hemi Cuda's... I have NEVER seen a factory 4speed v8 Falcon convertible and I have NEVER seen one that nice for sure!"

They all agreed and we gave best original and best of show trophies to this nice old guy with a sweet little falcon... i think he cried when he got his trophies. Well done my friend. I'm not a ford guy, but i like cool cars and that little Falcon was cool.

    Great story! :)

I've often thought a Falcon sedan with a Comet nose might look good. That's basically how the Comet wagons were done.
