My buddy Mike is having some tranny leakage problems probably due to a gasket issue in his old Mopar. Was losing fluid in Ozona on his way back to Austin from Marfa and thought he had a temporary fix to get him the rest of the way home. Its leaking again pretty bad, so he probably needs to replace the tranny pan gasket and he is calling it a night in Sonora til the morn. He is looking for any contact in that area to help him out or direct him to a parts store and/or garage to try and get it sealed up right. If you are in the area and can help please send me your number and I will pass it along to Mike. He is probably a little tool deficient and somewhat of a novice when it comes to repairs but at least he's out there liven the dream and givin it a go. Just trying to find him some honest help. Thanks, Steve

Sonora is right on I-10, about 3 hours west of San Antonio. Anybody driving on that part of the freeway with a set of tools and a few hours to spare?

Steve, if you see this before Ryan forwards the numbers to you please email me directly at [email protected] and I'll reply with the phone numbers to pass along to your pal. Not sure which of the guys listed are closest.

I broke down in Ozona a few years back. There was a tow service Adios Wrecker 325-392-3963 that helped a lot. He towed me into town and had the guy from the local NAPA open on a Sunday (Mother's Day) so I could get the parts I needed. Napa (Crockett Automotive, Inc) was managed at that time by Vince Huffman 325-392-5094

Might have. There is nothing around Sonora but Rattle snakes and Cactus.
