I picked up my new project. A 1933 Ford Cabriolet

it was in a barn, but not a "barn find"

pretty good shape for a 69 year old

It has a radio too :D

Looks better with the hood on it

and the "traditional" red wheels

it's going to sit for a little while, collecting ideas, and some parts, but there is a whole lot of potential there, and I am looking forward to getting into it.

Awesome!!! That's a major core man!!! I actually like the red wheels especially on the white car. Don't let the haters talk shit on red steelies since they really were the most popular choice back in the day.

  6. Awesome car. One of my favorites. And looks to be pretty complete. Hope you build it with the fenders on it so it don't look stupid..;)

the dash and door trim were once chromed.

  15. Jeff, I wondered when you were going to go public with this.

Awesome find. Based on the quality of your old coupe, this thing is going to be killer.

I hope to run into you at Sins or The Riot this summer.

any idea what year it is from?

I know the seller, and I passed on a roadster that he had for sale last fall.
I was at his place a month ago, and mentioned I passed on the roadster because every show I go to, it rains on me. I really needed a car with windows and a top.

"I have a Cabriolet... I'd sell it" he says....

  22. How long did Paul have that stashed away? I haven't been by his place for a while, and don't remember that one specifically.

Great one! I'll post a photo of my Dad in a new 1933 tonight. Looks like a nice solid car that will make a great built story to follow. Bob

Nice project Jeff. Don't expect to see any new paint on the 47 with that sitting in the garage.
Are you heading to Charlton this year?
