4 sure! Still geting used to the new TQ stall speed but turned 12.6 Last month up there. Got that trailer queen ready to run?
Nope, I`m leaving the `40 home this year...I`m trying to get a `29 roadster ready to drag this year. I hope to see you in joplin, to meet another 63 year old to see if the things I remember from the `60s were really like I remember!!! Tom T
Anyone got a date yet trying to see whether I can fit Bonneville and the drags in on my trip. Its OK I found it.
I just received an e-mail notification that I've been accepted for the upcoming Hamb drags! Can life get any better than this?!
Ryan, I've never been to the HAMB drags but definitely want to attend this year, probably just as a spectator. Do we have to pre-buy tickets if we are just going to watch, if so how much; or do we just show up and pay at the gate to watch? I'll be driving about 3 hours to this event that I'm so looking forward to seeing this year. My '31 pickup isn't fast enough to play with its 8BA flathead. Just trying to get some more details. Love the HAMB. Jason
Jason, Run your flattie- it is about fun, more than about fast. You will love it I guarantee! Rodshop
Just show up at the gate Sat and pay then, I think it's $10. There's plenty of flattys that run too. Some more warmed up than others, no biggie. It's all for a good time anyway. If you can, spend the night and go to the Holiday Inn in Joplin on Fri night too. Heck of a party.
How long did it take you guys to hear something back on acceptance or a dreaded rejection? Hate to pester anybody, but I'm not sure if my images got through with my description thanks to an old piece of crap of a computer.
Money's sent, for a 10' X 20' and a tent!! Not running one of my cars this year, you all stop by and say hey and sit a spell.
Send a PM to MokanMan . He's the track manager. It will be his decision whether or not to allow camping overnight.
