One of the ways I am trying to control the gaps on the rear qtr panels is with a gutter set from Brookville.

 

I also purchased a lower gutter panel and decklid from Brookville.

The Brookville lwr gutter panel is wider than the below decklid panel I bought from Tom Bay. As a result this was not a bolt tegether afair. I modified the brookville panel by shortening it.

A small upadate... Here is how I am dealing with the door post to subrail.

I was relucant to just weld the posts to the rails and was after something a little stronger.

I will go into a little more detail latter, needed to be able to pull the body off.

Spending sometime trying to get a roller out of the chassis....

 

Any early Ford is worth saving. Sell that extra door and cowl to help fund the project. Good luck!!!

Just another WOW! Keep Going

 

As part of the post install I made the connection between the fordor front and back half of the coupe body. The fordor is approximately 3/4 wider at the post than a coupe.

This required a pie cut the length of the roof above the door. Tig welding the length of the roof, given my lack of experience resulted in quite a bit of metal work but the results were acceptable.

The right rear of the roof is low in the pictures and will not hold it's shape, I need to work this a little but everything is square and a slight amount of upper pressure from underneath and it looks good.

Impressive save going on here, especially when looking at the battered shell in your avatar.

 

Rcnut when I started on my roof it had been welded on beat and ripped I took my top wood and assembled on the ground and put in the opening and put light preasure on it with a monkey jack and it helped to line it all up and pre load the panels while I straightened them looking good !!

 

What ya waitn for Fitzee ? It wouldnt take up much room in the shop!!

Another Update: Spent a few hours in the shop yesterday working on the dash, pretty hot!!

Here's a few shots of the dash before I installed a new gauge insert. Someone had hacked up the lower and upper portion of the gauge hole. I intintially fixed the upper cut wiht the intentions of making the bottom portion as well.

Fortunately I found a new opeing for 25bucks on ebay!

 

To start I made a flexible pattern of the upper portion, this was to give something to help cut both pieces the same. Should have spent more time on my end cuts on the pattern, as I did not get it as square as I thought.
