After a three year build I finally fired up the '34 International today. After moving it forward and backward about 100 feet several times I cut it off and trans fluid overflows out the top of the dipstick tube. After about 20 minutes I checked the level and it barely was touching the stick. It doesn't seem to do it with the trans in park. Transmission has not been run several years before I got it. Any ideas where to start? Vent tube?
Somtimes when they sit for a while, the converter drains down and fills the pan up. Driving them regularly stops that. Id fill it up and try again before I got to excited.
Hey dont blow the vent tube out with air, you will force lots of ATF out the dipstick tube hole. Dont ask how I know. Just poke a wire or pipe cleaner through it.
