My new ride 1936 Studebaker Dictator. It was restored several years ago with a sbc 350, th400 and ford 9inch. The first repair will be to restore the original gauges to operation and get rid of the aftermarket gauges under the dash. Next I am playing with the idea of changing the sbc th400 combo for something more retro, flathead maybe? Ideas welcome for new engine/trans combo. More pics here in my member page.
That is a fine looking car. I'm not sure how easy it would be to acquire, but a later Stude V8 would be killer. The Chevys can be cool, just gotta dress them up to your liking. I'd say enjoy the hell out of it this summer!
Caddy - Olds - Buick OHV. All three dress up nice, Adapters are available for them to run a auto with OD. Good power cruise at 70 all day and decent mpg. And trad. FED
One of my favorite cars. I've been looking for one off and on for a while now. I like the look of the back with the different shaped rear window and the art decco look of the gauges, is the best.
Cool car! It's got great lines, and it's not the typical brand you see at every car show. Could you imagine a car being named "Dictator" today?
Neat car. Make life easier on yourself and keep the SBC. Throw some vintage speed stuff on it, detail it up and call it done.
Look at Tom Branch's roadster, his wife's sedan or Fabian Valdez's Chevy....all have Studebaker V8's in 'em........just say'n
Beautiful car. If it runs and drives nice already, I'd have a hard time swapping the engine out just for the sake of something different, but a period detail job on the engine would do wonders. Personally, the modern looking mag wheels don't look right at all with wide whites on them, if I was going to spend any money on any changes, that'd be the first thing on my list.
X2 don't worry about the drivetrain if it's running fine, but change that hideous tire and wheel combo...
This!! I would not take it apart just because. Now if there were a problem and you werenfixing it that would be one thing but I am a sbc guy so that would stay anyway
That wheel tire combo is different, that's why I like it and the car as a whole. It's not another Ford, Chev, Merc, Plymouth
