http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJlZXAFlAfY&feature=related Larry Watson describes custom car paint jobs that he did in the late 1950s. Each car is featured on a poster by automotive artist Steve Stanford and Larry uses his remarkable recall to provide details about each one and its owner. The Clock was a drive-in burger stand in Bellflower, California.
This is the poster by Steve Stanford, that Larry describes the cars pictured... . <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fJlZXAFlAfY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> .
Roger Odell has had this poster reprinted and it is available at the website below. The quality of the new poster is spectacular. I used to sell Larry's stuff back in the nineties and this poster is much better than the original. Roger is the one who provided the photos from the Larry Watson collection. He was a friend of Watson's since the early days and owns the Pisano t-bird. Larry made the collection available to Roger before he passed. R.I.P.
Thanks hotrod1940 . My original poster has gotten pretty faded over the years. A new copy will be awesome! . .
