Last weekend I was able to roll the truck outside for the first time in almost a year and a half. Still have a long ways to go but I thought I'd share a few pics...

Work on the beast will be slowing down while we deal with some serious health issues my wife has recently been diagnosed with.

Looks great! I like the new stance up front.. What are you going to run for tires/wheels?

Keeping your wife in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks guys! Now that I can roll it around I can set it outside to strip the rest of the paint off without messing up the shop so much. The truck is most likely going to be painted light grey.

Wheels/tires will be painted steelies with trim rings and blackwall tires. Rear tires will be 235/75-15's to fill up the fenders. The back end will drop about 3-4 inches once I get a box and the gas tank mounted up. It's sitting really high in these pics.

My wife is battling a late-stage cancer so for the time being work on the truck will be limited to things that don't cost anything. She's off work and I'm cutting back the amount of jobs I take on with my business until we have things under control. We appreciate your thoughts. and concerns.

Looks good, is that a 31 Chevy frame under it looks just like one?

  18. Very cool looking truck you have. Pardon my ignorance, but Essex ever make a truck or is this a cut down sedan?
My thoughts and prayers are with your you and your wife

This is a cut down 2-door sedan. Essex never made a truck, although I've seen a number of these modified sedans over the years. Thank you for your concern with my wife, I'll pass it along to her.

Good eye, 34toddster. The frame is actually a '30 Chevy, as are the rad shell, fenders, and running boards. The only Essex pieces are the cab and hood.

  20. Man it fills good to be able to roll them around I moved mine on it own axles for the first time last weekend
