Projects anyone up for a Studebaker project??

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by loc8tor, May 22, 2012.

  1. I met the owner of these cars several years back at a car show in Martinsburg WV, when I talked with him about his Diesel Lark. He invited me over to show me his collection. His health has taken a turn for the worse and one of his friends, whose email addy is below, is helping Torey and his wife sell off the collection. The list below is only a handful of all that he has. These cars all ran and were driven to where they are parked. The current list is of the Studebakers, there are a few mopars and packards and amc's in the mix as well. Sorry no duece coupes, model As, or Ts. The oldest car I saw was a 1940. The property is very close to MARTINSBVURG WV, and a short distance from I-81. The following link will take you to the original post on the Studebaker Drivers Club Website. Anything that has scrap beside it is $290(thats what the local crusher will give) most of the projects are $500 or less, the drivers Im still trying to get prices on......

  11. an update from the gentleman helping with the sale....some O/T

The only remaining AMC is a '74 Matador which Torrey was driving before he got sick. All but one Rambler, a blue hardtop, went to the scrapper and it will probably go too as they can't find a title for it. All the MoPars were sold except a late '80s rear wheel drive New Yorker. From where it sits it has been a long time since it was run, but it's not rusty, poor paint and has a plush interior. GMs include a '77 Pontiac Catalina four-door which Torrey also drove (decent car), an Olds Cutlass Cruiser station wagon with faded paint, but decent interior (condition unknown) and a '66 Olds Toronado in prime- supposed to be in good mechanical condition with re-chromed bumpers, but we can't find the bumpers.
