    1. Tape some wipers on.
    2. Put a bottle of Jack under the seat.
    3. Ask technician to check the rattle under the seat -before inspection.
    4. Get sticker.

After 15 years of driving my car without wipers, I finally broke down and installed one of teh Speedway 29 dollar el cheapo single wiper kits. It works really, really well. Whenever it rains, I can't help but giggle my ass off.

I cut the wiper arm and blade down to fit my windshield, wired it up and was done in about 20 minutes. Painted the arm and blade black and you can't even see it.

    Good luck, -Abone.

Newport Engineering has a wide variety of wiper arms and blades. And some great wiper assemblies. Gary

  14. There are quite a few rear wiper motors that can be made to work in front. I think it was Dodge Omni that I used years ago.

Early Jeep arms, blades, or parts/combinations thereof.

  16. Go fast enough and you won't need wipers:eek:

  17. I don't know if they are still around but there was a hot rod supply outlet called Queens. They had some real nice setups with real short arms.

  18. Thanks for all the help! I have a '41/'46 Ford 'vert chopped 4.5". I don't care if the wipers work I just want to get thru inspection.

  19. Uh, around here they not only have to be there, they have to work to pass inspection.

  20. I'm supprised no one has marketed short wipers and arms with all the chopped cars out there.

  21. They do. Vintique makes arms as small as 6" I believe.

Yes I was going to suggest VW arms and blades too. The early blades are very simple straight rubber pieces pinched in a metal strip that can easily be cut to length.

Several years ago we had a walk in SOCAL Speed shop store in the Houston area, They stocked shortened wiper arms and blades but I never saw them in the catalog I had.
Not sure if they were a normally stocked SOCAL item
