  3. who's panels are those and how did they fit?

Did you weld that panel over right over top of some or all of the original?

Got them from smith and jones in sc , I am pretty sure they were made by howells ,fit very well . I cut what was left out of the cowl bottom and used a 1/2 inch flanger so the panel and the original fit flush . I plan to do the other side in the next day or two and will post more detailed pics. of what i did.

Love the coupe man I am building one pretty close to yours. I was wondering how you were planning on running the tv rod (or whatever its called on a hydro) up to the throttle linkage? I want to run the 4 speed hydro in mine but I don't know a whole lot about them. Also what spring are you running in the rear? I looked but I didn't see it in the thread.
    Thanks,
    Jackson

I am not planning on using a kickdown . all shifting will be with the shifter. The rear spring is a 40 ford front spring.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know you could run it like that. So basically you will shift it like a manual?

Nice!!! Better lay one of those quilts on it to keep it clean after full night in the shop!!! Actually the Hussy's interior was easy to take care of. Just wiped the grease right off no problemo!

Waiting for some more progress pics!!!

So it has been almost a year since any new pics. sorry bout that . anyway if you had followed this thread before you know how rough this thingg was. And I had planned on caddy power but with a realitively fresh and warmed up flatty in my garage and the cost of building the caddy it was a no-brainer. 35 or 36 flatty with mild cam , johns lifters edmunds 2x2 and apair of fresh 94's , lakes headers. Used Howells 9'' rear corners and made them work with a lot of massaging . It now has a rear end and looks like a car.
