Well I got my taillights in and my license plate light as well. Now I need to wire up turn signal lights and do interior work then body work. But at least now it's drivable again

Well now my car blew the motor which totally sucks. So now I am going to have to come up with something better like a front stub swap then a rear end upgrade as well. Or just sell it and get something better that's already finished.

Look for a 70's Dart/Duster w/318,340,360 combo and you've got most of what 'ya need.

Well I'm tearing the head off this week to see if it's just a gasket problem. Hopefully that will fix it otherwise it's scrap in my eyes. Found a couple cool old trucks for sale in my area maybe I can pick one of those up instead of keeping my car.. oh well who knows

Well I pulled the head off and I discovered I have a hole in a piston as well as a blown head gasket so now I'm stuck I've never rebuilt a motor before but guess I'm taking a crash course into doing it.

Welcome from a Pekin reject. Retired and ran outta town eighteen years ago today. Bought a 1950 Buick from a guy who used to live where the old country grade school was east of town.
You can rebuild that engine. I rebuilt my 49 Dodge engine in 1958 when I was 19 and I didn't know crap. It ran all over central Illinois till I traded it several years later.

You Illinois guys, Pekin has a decent downtown car/bike show sometime at end of July. We'll be there.

I've had it 2 years and had no problems then 2 weeks ago I license it and insure it next day wammo blew headgasket. Drove it 500 miles the whole time I've had it. What really stinks is I got it switched to 12volt put brake lights in and was getting ready for turn signal wiring up

I've got a low mileage 440/torqueflight we pulled out of our old Pekin owned Motorhome. Want me to bring it back with me?
