This HAMB world is a strange place, you develop friendships over thousands of miles and then suddenly they are gone. We swapped stories a couple times. I am starting a Burb, and he was starting an A, my A was finished and his Burb was done. It was a great exchange of ideas. RIP John, you were an asset to this wonderful world.

    I'm new here. RIP John.
Sadly, at my age, I'm seeing more and more real car guys passing on to that big ole junk yard in the sky where even the junk yard dogs are smilin and friendly.
Just remember, fellas, we are only here for a short time. Make the best of it and have fun beatin on that old rusty metal. If ya can't say a kind word don't say anything. Lend a hand or your experience to the younger hot rodders when you can. Real hotrodders are nearly a thing of the past.
Tomorrow may be your last. Leave this world pealin rubber and grindin gears. R.I.P.!

I first met John here on the HAMB. When we moved to Tucson, I got to meet him at the UofA garage. We were friends on Facebook, too. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was a wonderful person. Our prayers go out to his family at this time of their loss. John is in a much better place now.

What a shock. John was always so upbeat about beating his illness. Never met him personally but we PM'd about brain operations as I had surgery on 1/12/2012 for a tumor that was impinging on my optic nerve. Fortunately the tumor was benign. RIP John. Prayers sent from Kentucky.
