Texas Nostalgia Nationals - May 12 2012

I am walking this year! I can only stay a couple of hours, then I have to go back to work. My boss is a jerk.

I am looking forward to it just 12 hours to go

 

just down the street from the track and we got hit with a nice shower about 8:45 - it's going to be wet in the grass in the morning....hope my buddies with the haulers don't get discouraged....

 

they will be fine. we had worse then this at year #1. 90% of the grass parking area has rock under neath it. It has just grown a layer of grass over it thru out the years

 

yes - I stopped by on Friday evening the first year and helped with clearing the drains on the track...the clouds kept some away that first year...last year there were a bunch of my friends that showed up to where they raced in the early sixties...just hope they bring out them old bones tomatoe...see you thar...

We had a blast. Me and my wife drove the touring and let my inlaws drive the 41. Meet frank up the street and headed out. Hit a pretty good shower in arlington, waited it out under a overpass and the canopy at a gas station. Finally made it to the track and the good times began.
Thank you for putting on a GREAT EVENT. See y'all next year forsure.

Did you just get that? Cool looking wagon! Hope you all had fun - waiting for pic's at work!

 

Had a great time. The way Yellow Belly track is laid out, I was able to be within 3 feet of the cars at the starting line. It was loud and fun! (Ear plugs helped.)

JB, The motor is freaking bad ass. Great passes. Won two rounds and then red lit. The day started ify, around 1 it was a packed house. Thx Rusty and Danny
