(see related thread at http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=7749856#post7749856 ) I know folks either love em or hate em but before I go to the trouble of buying a set to see if I can make them clear the drum spindles on the banjo rear, I'd like some feedback on how they look on the car in this cheesy Photoshop:
I like the original screw-on aluminum moons especially on lakers. Not crazy about the stainless rebops. They just don't seem to fit right.
On the correct car, Moons imply speed and performance. On the incorrect car, Moons imply "I'm bored and want to do something to my car, but I'm not sure what". I like your car as is.
Reminds me of the Merc Stalone drove with moons. I hated that car. Not a big fan on that style of build on the "A" either, but my opinion and 6 bucks will get you a coffee at Starbucks. If you like go for it.
I like the looks on Mike Britton's roadster, but not on your "a"... Leave the steelies showing. My 2 cents
Another thing...I love the looks of Moon discs on some cars, but the 'snap on' versions just never look right...
