Great thread!! Found it last week, finished reading start to finish. Thanks!

Sad to look at these old hulks remembering how great some of them looked to my young eyes when they first came out especially 56s and 57s.

This thing showed up next to a pawn shop in my hometown when I was a junior in High School. I offered to buy it from the guy as a project, 'Nah, I'm gonna restore it'. After I left for the military every time I came home I offered to buy it from the guy again, and again and again. 'Nah, I'm gonna restore it.' Last fall was my ten year high school reunion and guess what's still sitting there having not moved an inch in 12 years.

That looks like a fuel system vacuum tank, this could be a Buick... I just can't see it very well.

  11. I aint going back ... I found a tick digging in my junk! ... I assume coil because it has, I think, a high volt connector.

But doing alittle research I think the Bars Leak Bottle was worth the tick bite .... 1950 bottle when they were still in San Fran.

  12. Oh , good grief !!! Bet 'ya no one will come with the reply "pic,s or it did,nt happen"

Maybe next time roll out there with CASH and say I'd like to buy it and have $xxxx with me now to make that happen and show him. Stranger things have happened especially if your offer is market value or close to it.

  21. This one may have been posted before, it's coming out of Petrified Forest/Painted Desert
    Nat'l Monument, in Northeastern AZ.
Wife and I went out there for vacation week before last. In my neck of the woods this car would have rotted to the frame rails by now...

  22. What is is, a Pontiac?

  23. I think it was a GM car of some kind, not really enough left for a novice car spotter like myself to positively identify... some one on here will probably be able to give the Make, Model, and year, no problem...

And now back to the topic at hand.

This 37 Dodge was sitting and rotting and is now going to it's new home this week where the owner is restoring it!

Looks like its about a 1957 white wc22. Likely has a mustang gas 6cyl flathead engine in it, seems most of them did along those years. Jim
