Great thread! I am looking for someone to do some door lettering on my '54 F100 that was given to me by my grandfather as a tribute to him. Can anyone recommend somebody in the Sacramento, CA area thats up for the task?

Just stumbled onto this thread. Some real cool stuff and talented painters represented. The Dragon and his Tail B-24 is probably one of the most famous and it was scrapped in Arizona after the war. There is a Combat veteran B-25 in the Dallas area that has some cool nose art too. A reclining pin up named Howa Boot That? What makes it special is that when they restored it they found that the guy that painted the nose art originally was still alive. So when they were ready they invited him to do the honors again. The story goes that on the date he was to do this he walked in with the original wooden shoe polish box and paints he had done the first art with during the war!

My car is made up of so many parts from so many different cars I call it Frankenstein. Now with the new yellow paint job I call it the Yellow Peril. Thinking of having that painted on it somewhere. Great thread ! Thanks, Mike
