  1. I love the guy's with used whitewalls that gives you the " hey they are - insert price here - brand new from Coker", I know that but....... They aren't new tires !!! They tend to go down in price when they are used correct? tires dont hold their value like 32 parts or do they ? Or the guy that prints off ebay listings for most of the stuff he has for sale and tapes them to his parts. Last time I checked a parking lot swap meet aint ebay!! If you want to use ebay prices sell the sh## on there not at the local swap meet.

But I still love digging for treasure, wish there was one every weekend!!

Its getting harder to find a good deal on anything anymore. Internet has killed the swaps.

Guys that pick up my new-in-the-box parts and offer 10% of the price I paid to buy them. Yeah, everybody wants a deal but for fuck sake - 10%!?

Am I unreasonable to ask 50% of the new part price for NEW parts?

Nothing. I go to swap meets for fun and entertainment, not to bitch about the selling and pricing practices of the vendors. If I do happen to find what I'm looking for at a reasonable price, I buy it, if not, I move on. Despite what some sellers may think, the market sets the prices based on supply and demand, so why complain about it? Vendors who overprice their stuff get to drag it around from swap meet to swap meet until they finally learn a lesson in the most basic economic theory.

My sentiments exactly..if swap meets piss you off at all either stay at home or take up quilting.

  14. I wish I wouldn't have looked at thus thread.

How about when you finally find the part you want, and as you are waiting on the guy to ask him about it- he says "oh just sold it to thus guy. Then you get to watch him walk off with it.

That kind of pisses me off.

Or when a guy brings his scantily clad honey with him - then gets pissed cause someone spent a little bit longer looking at her than his moldy seats.

That kind of pisses me off.
Dude, don't bring her or pit some clothes on her - WTF
