I'd bring along a "valuable" lumb of crap and see if the Pawn Stars will give you a few bucks for it. Bob

Imperial Palace on the Strip has the auto museum.
If you are any kind of gearhead, a trip to the raceway is a nice way to kill a couple of hours.
I cruised out there on a Tuesday afternoon.Sprint Cars were testing at the dirt track, some Harleys were testing at The Strip and The Petty Experience was running a few stockers on the oval. You can drive right into the infield of the oval track.
I'm a Ford fan so the Shelby museum was must.
The track is right by Nellis AFB, an air show is almost guaranteed.
Might even catch the Thunderbirds if you're lucky.

the atomic museum is just off the strip . we also did some atv'ing in red rockark think it was. all i remember is that it was out past the speedway and was a blast. grand canyon is a day trip .imperial palace was neat also and my name is up on the wall at the shelby factory. kingman arizona was on the way to the grand canyon and had the powerhouse museum about rt 66 history .living in fla it was nice just to cruise out into the desert and mountains .i think it is oakman az that has a wild west gunfight kinda show

  8. If you can afford it, take the helicopter trip into the Grand Canyon, it is an experience you will never forget. People don't realize that the Grand Canyon stretches for 250 miles and is not just a hole in the ground. To view it from the air is spectacular and they set you down inside by the river and feed you Mimosas. Great stuff.

Was there a few weeks ago for the NHRA event (had a great time). My advice is just take alot of money! Visit the Pawn stars Shop and Ricks Restoration (new) shop. Normal Norman

SoCal speed shop is worth checking out. I don't know if the new Hot Rod museum is open yet. They were still working on it when I was there in January.

Check out Kenny's garage, across the street from my friend's house. He's always cooking up something wild.

Thanks for the advice so far. Was kinda expecting there might be some nice dry junk yards/piles that somebody said you had to go look at! Oh well!
