Hey if anyone is interested in a gas pump let me know. It needs restoration. (1940s) Bennett 766 Zephyr Gas Pump For some reason it won't let me post the pictures on here. If anyone would like more information or just wants to see the pictures e-mail me at [email protected] Thanks
When I was a kid living in Australia in '69, BP or Shell was giving away cardboard cutouts of the Apollo II lunar lander.... It was like a cardboard model kit... Wish I still had it.... What other freebie's did you guys get back in them dayz???
We're getting settled into our house, and I've begun hanging stuff in my downstairs office. Man, you guys have some nice stuff! Love this thread!
Larry, on that clockface ... does the bottom cylinder section slide up to provide security? Whats the make and model??
Sam, That is the correct information. It is a Tokheim 850 Round (early model) The nozzle locks and the electricity is probably off at night. Larry
I lined up my 4 pumps yesterday for a Photo. Here it is. I was also able to set up my diner Booth. it came from a local drive in that was torn down. I was lucky enough to get it!!
Each month my car club holds it's meeting in a place you will love. Check out the Mendenhall Museum of Automobilia.com. Home of the Land Speed Racing yearly Gas Up where we induct people and cars into the Land Racing Hall of Fame. It's later this month. Hard to concentrate on club business when you are surrounded by such cool stuff. Dan
This is about the only gas station collectable that I have. A "Hot Rod" 2 gallon oil can from 1947. Mick
You got some nice stuff.... I am getting ready to do a Bennett simalar to yours in Richfield tall eagle design. The glass and spinner glass is available if your looking.
I started a Vintage Advertising community on here. Join up if ya wanna. Not limited to gas/oil, just all old vintage advertising. Might help us in our buy/sell/trade/collect efforts, as I think HAMBers have a little more trust with each other than the general public. See you there. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=771
Bad Penny, your vette is very cool and your collection is a great one! I wish I had a bubble top for my little girl, someday. My collection goes outside too, I have four more signs we're putting up this year. Just like cars, just keep on finding them and have to have them.
I put on a Gas & Oil swap meet on May 12,2012 in Evansville, IN. Any thing a gas station would have or sell. It is at the Vanderburgh 4 H Center on Hwy 41north of town. From 7AM till NOON. Every thing moves fast. If you need info my phone is 812-425-2739 est 115 work and cell 8124315413. Thanks Rick Bonenberger
I brought this one home today a Boyle-Dayton previsible from what I can figure out it is about 1915. It is not the air assist model .... can anyone give me alittle info on it or some pictures ... I cant find much on the internet
Nice I like pre-vis pumps--they have character. Not much else to know about yours, except it's a model 54(56 is air operated) circa 1915. Jack Sim's pump book says it's worth a grand.
Thanks Earl, (and thanks for the 29.95 paint job in '66!) You wouldnt know of a restored example (pic) would you? Search has only turned up this air-assist .... and not restored
