Check out this cool machine. I have been at Freds foundery and casting a bunch of shifters today.

 

Wow really cool. Would love to see the finished product.

 

Here it is. The first "real" one.
First out overseas will be the shifter and the e-brake is up next. After the casting yesterday we now has some more work on them before a first batch goes to Limeworks Speedshop who will sell them in USA.

 

Today I got the rearend together with the brakes and shafts.
11" drums.

My mate Mats arrived today with the fuel pick-up. He had added fittings using silver brazing
so I dont need to use clamps on it.

Nice!, When you get a chance, how about a little info on the 51/52 F-1 thats serving as a backdrop?

 

It´s my Bro´s 51 F1. ZZ4 engine, corvette-ends with air and fast in corners. A car that probably loads of guys here would like to call "not hamb friendly"......but I like it =)

Nice fittings! That's a really good idea adding the nuts.
Has the whole lot been re-anodized or just painted?

 

I think it'll come in to porportion when you set it on the chassis. It looks great dude! The grille kind of reminds me of a crazy Winterfront.

You make this stuff look too easy. "Oh, I just made these fuel line clamps...oh, I just whipped this grille together...I had some spare time, so I made some WHEELS" I hate you.

Oh, if your car is too long, I have an awesome solution. Jsut trade for mine. It comes already shortened! It MIGHT need a bit of work though!

Jokes aside, you're doing an incredible job and you should be extremely proud of your work! I'll be happy if mine comes out half as nice as yours!

Thank you Slepe for those kind words, I do doubt that my car comes out better then yours or anybody else. A nice car for me is a car with the right stance/look and at the same time also a safe one. No matter how shiny it is.

I can tell you that I don't do things "just like that" . There is lots of hassle and misstakes almost all the time before I finaly get things done.
It aint easy writing in english for a swede like me and therefore my posts are often short in words. Sadly it might makes me sounds like an asshole that do things just like that but thats totally wrong.

Just found this thread...........amazing! Subscribed for sure. I dig what your doing here.

 

It's kind of like TV, I guess. We only see the good parts. We don't see the hours of mill time, grinding time, planning, sketching starting over etc.
And I would hope anyone reading your posts will appreciate that someone that hasn't grown up with the American way of saying things would have a tough time trying to relate a thought from one language to another.
I think you've done an excellent job on that part as well as the coupe.
A great build going there.
I just got back to the hamb a week or so ago myself. And back on my 3 window coupe as well.
A member for 6 years and only a handful of posts.
But that's about to change once I get rolling again.
If I can just keep my cars, other family member's cars, my Dad's lawnmower (he refuses to buy a new one and I keep having to fix the old one) and other stuff going.
Question:
How are you attaching the body to the frame?
Bolts with nuts underneath, nuts or threaded pieces welded in the frame or what?
