    This my 250 (bored to 266), in my dragster, note the rare "IFFO" valve cover!

    Here are two more views of the car, I built the headers along with the rest of the car. Now if I can just get it finished.

    Inlines rule! I scored a 250 for free and I'm equipping it with 3 carbs and custom headers. Backing it up with a 200r4.

    Dropped the motor in tonight. Just gotta hook up all the peripherals, fill it up with all oil and coolant, and (fingers-crossed) everything springs to life...

    Cleaned up my 250 and added a chrome air filter housing ;)

    down the drivers side and over the rear end. at that point, the passenger side crosses over to the over side of the car.

    I will probably end up redoing it. The routing is good, but the shop did a horrible job on the welds. I can't afford to pay someone to redo it, so I'll probably try to do it myself.

    okay, quick question for all my 250 guys here. My mill has three holes in the valve cover, one for the breather, one on the back end of the top for vacuum leading to the carb. but the other one leads nowhere, and I cant find anything on the web that talks about it. I dont know what it's called, although it can be seen in the image i posted above.

    Also, assuming it is another vacuum port, would I be able to use that for the vacuum on my th350 or carb? Thanks gang.

    The three port valve covers are late 60's-80's covers.

    Upper Rear: PCV valve - hose to manifold vacuum
    Upper Front: Oil cap - Non-Breather type
    Side Front: Breather - Hose to Air-Cleaner

    When I put my 250 in my Chevy II, I swapped to an earlier two-hole valve cover (they aren't reproduced, so you have to find an original one) with a breather-type oil cap in the upper-forward hole. Works good, lasts long time...

    That went to the stock air cleaner.It is the oil breather That is mounted on the inside of the air cleaner. You can USE a exspandable freeze plug and block it off.And do away with the hose just hanging there. hope this helps.

    Does anyone know if a small block v8 flywheel and clutch will fit a 250/292 L6.

    It's hard to find inline parts in the uk!

    YES but you would have to redrill for the 292

    Same patteren But some 292's had 1/2 bolts and 3 pins

    hey guys

    im brand new here im wondering about a heat plate for headers ,
    i live in florida and im driving a nova, so the engine is fully enclosed do i really need this heat plate and so on for it to run headers on my 250. id rather not drill or anything any help would be fantastic.
