  4. That's awesome... damn, when you drop it into a bunch of photos like that, almost looks easy. [IMG] I'd love to start taking some welding classes coming this spring and get learnin'.

  6. I went to Dante's place and saw this in person. Dante's too modest to say it, but there isn't very much bondo in this grill. Beautifully formed and filled metal is all. The man's an artist, IMO.

Nice stuff, Dante. You'll be workin' on my Ranchito as soon as somebody takes the '56 Olds from my driveway.

[IMG] i have been known to be modest at times. you are correct that there isn't that much plastic filler on it. i always try to get the metal at least 95% straight before applying any filler.

let me know when you are ready for me to work on you Ranchero.

Rick, Dave yeah JD was happy with it. i took his idea and changed it a bit. it came out looking really good. you'll be able to see the car at the mooneyes show. JD said something about a Von Franco show on Dec4.

    thanks

you know what would look really good with that grill mouth? rounded hood corners... i did this to my 54 ford, and it looks really cool with the rounded grill mouth.

that is already in the plans. just wanted to finish the grill up first. after mooneyes the hood corners should get done. one step at a time.

have any pics? post them or email them to me.

looks awesome, great work. I did kinda the same thing on my '54 Chevy with conduit.
I think it would look even better with the grille ends tapered to a point. The cut off ends look a little unfinished.
