I'm excited about this . I hope there will be an area where hot rod driving spectators can park in / near the pits? Never been to one of these ECTA events, not sure how they are run. Lots of interest at our car club meeting too. Can't wait till April!

...Hope to get a group leaving east side of Indy Saturday, April 28 early am. 2 1/2 drive to Wilmington from Indy. Going to see about lodging for Saturday night. I need to shake some cobwebs out of the a-bone.

Hey guys you really should reserve a room in advance the reason being at the April meet Hot Rod magazine will also be holding there fastest street car shoot out. So along with all of us Land Speed Racers now relocated from Maxton theres going to be many more people in town.

Went on Sunday April 29 and it was great.
They were at the max number of vehicles (175) and as soon as the weather cleared they ran lots of cool stuff.
Interesting venue, real nice track and lots of nice racers.
Check it out at www.ecta-lsr.com or www.wilmingtonmile.com

We ran the Ohio Mile this weekend and it was a great event. (in spite of the weather) We got to run 4 times and our best time was 186 mph.
Can't wait to get back in June and run again. We had lots of spectators and many cool hot rods showed up.

Dave, my son and I was there on Saturday, seen your car in staging while we were walking around and checking thing out after the rain. Didn't get to go on Sunday, but some friends stayed and said it was a good day lots of runs. I'm going to try to get back in June also.

I was there spectating (drove my little oldsmobile pickup) and I had a ball. Considering retrofitting a friends drag car and making a go.

It was impressive to see, the variety of vehicles was something I hadnt expected.

Wilmington itself didnt promote the event too well, and the Dayton newspaper just had a small article buried on a back page.

If you ran there, you have my utmost respect. Takes guts to do it, along with a fair amount of cash and insanity!

It is real. Went there this last weekend. Three more meet this year. Good track.
175 car limit. Run on 1 airstrip. pits on the other. Saw several 200 mph runs. Go to
    ECAT website for dates.
