This is my 1st hotrod and it is rough. Any ideas on where to start, places to get parts, and and wisdom? My main question right now is what rust-eating paint/primer do you recommend to save what is there until I can sandblast? I am in the process of taking her apart. I'm taking lots of pictures and bagging/labeling everything.

    Welcome from Kansas.
Regarding the rust, there are many choices out there, but Eastwood makes good products

Good luck with the project, and post on the main board for specifics, there is more traffic there, and MANY folks who can guide you.

Welcome from over in Vincent, you can kill that rust with molasses, search on here and get thr recipe. They sell it at Coosa Valley Milling in Wilsonville. I've got a 55 gal drum mixed up for the purpose..
