That is one great ride Orn!!! Love these body styles. Had a chance at a 48 Pontiac coupe but was just too strapped for cash at the time. Would have gone well with my ragtop!

    hahaha!

    great minds think alike.

    very cool.

Now THAT I can't wait to see.

are you going to run those small stellings and helling repops for air cleaners? I think they look so great on early dual 4's

More dirty work. Luckily the weather allows me to be outside the garage when strip the paint. I haven’t found any rust so far but there’s fat layer of bondo in a few places and I have some hammer and dolly work ahead.

A little ”keep this thread alive” update! Some boring and dirty bondo work but at least I’m happy the car is rust free and I’m slowly getting there…hopefully!

    Thanks Ray.
My goal with this one is a mild late fifties kustom/taildragger stance so no visor but I will keep the skirts.

  17. Hey Per,

again, hats off to you, fantastic work you did so far!
did you make a final decision about the colour?

Thanks Carsten my great hillbilly bro.
The color decision is a hard one and I haven’t figured it out yet but I’m leaning towards some sort of satin green, or light gray, or the color it had when I bought it or….well? ;)

    Have a nice Sunday too.

A small update… I have had a break from my Olds this summer but now its time to move on with the project when the garage season starts. I’m pretty much done with the bondo stuff and added a layer of Epoxy primer to the bare metal and will go on with primer surfacer before topcoat. I take the car out for a small ride today when the rain held up for a moment. Some pics I shoot today.

I love it! Would some type of through-the-bumper exhausts be appropriate?
    (Not necessarily these.)

Nice! Ever thought of molding the rear fenders to the body?

    What happened to the 7.10s?

I have my 7.10 on another set of rims but I will run them in the future. I don’t know yet if I will mold the rear fenders or not.

Way cool pic, I never thought I'd see '52 Studebaker tail-lights used that way. Where'd you find that pic?

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread, I'm just really curious to see how those flow with the rest of a custom...
