Finally found one to make my own.

Real street roddy right now but changes are coming. At least I have an unchopped steel body to build on. Probably drive it as is for a year after removing the flames and adding a louvered hood.
Got fenders, boards, dropped light bar and big lamps with it so options are there. Thinking color change eventually (black) along with wire wheels or steelies. The exhaust has a sawsall in it`s future.
Kinda different driving a purchase home instead of using a trailer and many large boxes of parts. I highly recommend it.

The color wasn`t really important but I understand "resale red".

At least it wasn`t lavender or peach. The car`s been together for a few years and shows some chips and wear but I`m happy. I plan to wear it out before I do a full blow apart and refinish process. You should see the interior...very 90`s.

Just ditch the exhaust tips and drive it as is for a while. Nice car.Fenders would be cool too.

That`s my plan. Would like to find a louvered hood before removing flames just so I can paint everything at one time. I`m leaving it red for now.

Those are Super Trap mufflers-quite popular a few years ago on competition cars-especially those driven on the street. Sometimes even on midgets and sprints where the track or sanctioning body had a muffler rule. They were tunable-by adding or subtracting baffles.

Congrats! I agree, drive it and have fun for a while and make the changes as you go. Are you going to try to put "re-install" the door handles?

Glad to see you're going to save it. Don't cut up those Super-Trapps; they may be the last functional pair on the planet and worth a lotta bux!

  24. Very cool.
It will be interesting to watch you Traditional-ify it.

Great find .best of luck with your plans to rebuild. Regard Lil32 We love our coupe and so do fellow rodders and show judges have won 80 trophies

  26. Neat car. I could live with the interior with a different steering wheel.

I think it's the combo of the flames and aluminum wheels that gives it a street rod vibe.

The flames may look better with a set of Steelie wheels or wires. I think I would try the wheels before the paint.

    Love the car...

What a great car to start with. I like your vision.

I'm sort of fond of those goofy one year only fords myself.

I can see where the handles were located inside the doorskins so I`m planning on adding them when I redo the car.

Search is on for an appropriate steering wheel. I can live with the interior other than would like a bench instead of the buckets. It has air, power windows and a full sound system in the roof console.

I have Supertrapps on my O/T Camaro and even back in the late eighties they were pricey. This car sounds good with the `Trapps but way too bulky to stay on it. Going to the exhaust shop Saturday.Gonna keep it loud though.

I did think about steelies but couldn`t decide on what color would go with this look. I`m not a big fan of highboy `32 Fords but this is growing on me and was probably not a cheap build. I was able to pull some of the interior panels and the body was very nice before paint.

    Typical small block/TH350/8" Ford
