Yah sometimes just because it's old black paint doesn't neccesarily mean it's kool!I got tired of looking at it and needed inspiration-so lets experiment with paint/colors!!Yes it's only temporary but it's the exact color I wanted

Ahh Timmermans. Nice place I think the supper club has a dress code though. There is a golf couse, Lacoma, right next door. It used to be the upscale place that people came to on the weekends. Its a little more casual now. Helen died and I don't think the new owners are as old fashioned and up tight.

I didn't say I would go downtown to the bars after 12:00. But I grew up there, it wasn't so bad. The strip joints are all closed now too I think. Timmermans is up on the hill overlooking lake Lacoma. They still have the rabbits outside of the supper club for the kids to watch.

 

Count me in. My '32 won't be done but I'll be there checking out the venue. Had fun the last 2 years.

4 more days and I'm on my way for some needed r&r

Drove the truck for the first time today finally. Gettin glass for it monday.
Gotta figure out why its not shiftin out of first, other than that shes all good.
Ill be there either way, Maquoketa speed limits only get to 35-40 so 1st will be fine, ill just be extra loud.

Do you have the vacuum hose hooked up to the shift solenoid on the trans?

 

...check your kickdown linkage, if it's set wrong it won't go into second, just unhook it and try it.

 

Yea vacuum hose is hooked up. Fluid is full. Im gunna get under it tommorow anf check the linlage and solenoid...hope that its something easy and nothing major.

 

times 2 , just went through that w mine ! in the haste forgot i hadnt , ran the line and shifted perfect !

idk yet , he had a dropped axle he was gonna swap in the 46 but now it wont go and he says it drives too shitty to make the trip again , so he may drive his 64 ! at this point i'm not sure what to do as i have to have somewhere to camp ! as much as i really hate to i may have to ask my brother to borrow his motorcycle trailer , haul the roadster in it , unload it and throw down air matresses and camp in it , i hate to haul my truck and get ragged on though ! i truly have never trailered a car to a show and don't want to start
