I made the last pieces around the tranny. The top around the shifter and the parking brake is removeable. I have the toe boards welded in now. I just need to weld all of this together and then Im done with floors for now until I step the rear frame.

I scored a collection of parts from an old timer from my home town yesturday. The mirror with the clock and the really nice waterfall will be going in my car. I also got a dash, another set of tube shock brackets, 4 other waterfalls, a shackle kit, a set of pedal pads, a wide five hub cap, some wire wheel caps, a set of the trim that goes below the garnish moldings and a set of 36 headlight lenses

The cowl vent gutter was rusted out in my car. We have a customer car in the shop that the vent is getting filled on so I robbed the better gutter out of it. I repaird a few rust holes in it and welded the hinge brackets back on. The hole going into the drain tube was much smaller than the tube so I drilled that out and welded all the way around the tube to prevent leaks. I now have it welded into the car but not finished.

I ground and finished the welds tonight and I put it all together. I used an original screen out of a parts car I had. The handle is also an original that I buffed the bare steel

I worked on the gas pedal tonight. I had to widen it an inch to make it line up where I wanted it. I also had to cut a hole in the firewall for it to bolt to.

You managed to take a 32 pedal and widen it to suit a 35!
Everybody else does it the other way around!

    Love this build.

The rod going from the gas pedal to the carb was at an angle and that botherd me. So I lengthened the linkage end of the pedal. Doing this also changed the ratio of the pedal for the better. It made it so I could keep the pedal closer to the floor so it looks better. I also made some new drain tubes for the windsheild since one was leaded shut and the other was gone.

I decided that I would mount the heater while I still have the dash off. I got my heater core back from the radiator shop. The heater box had studs sticking out the back originaly, but I didnt want them sticking throught the firewall. So I knocked the studs out and welded them to the firewall. I also welded the spacers to the heater box. The defroster ducts were pointing straight at the firewall, so I am going to weld some tubing on to change the angle.
