I don't think these are from a 52/54 Ford or Merc, the outside edge of those is flattned more than these. I have 52/54 flares on my chevy and the look a whole lot different than the Goulart openings.



I think that the Goulart ones are prolly hand made or from some other car.

The reflexion of the flash light makes it look like there is a lip "similar" to that of the Goulart's Ford.... but in fact there is no lip at all, its just the reflection.

I have to admit that the first thing that caught my eye when i saw the first pic of the car in this thread was the front wheel openings.
Just dident look right but now it looks great.

Palle, the car looks great! Changing the fender openings was subtle, but changes the whole 'look' of the car! I doubt if most people would even be able to tell you what's different!

okay guys...still cooking! just got back from a hunting trip in the UK..and I am so damn tired, but i promised to keep this updated!
but today we finally had the body back on the frame. we needed to do a bit of cutting in the trunk, but over all..it fitted just fine. the next couple of days, is fine tuning. more later this week.
but heres a couple of pictures.

dont mind the mustang wheels..i did find the right ones, but havent got time to get them yet! and it even has the right stance right away right!? oohh there is a 'barnfind' in the background!?

Geesh what a lot of work to correct some of the issues that this old custom had . Some guys say preserve the history . I say change some of the issues that arent seen to make it safer as you have but keep the appearance so you know what old custom it is . Looks good so far . Subscribed .

okay fellas..not the biggest update you have seen..but the car had a studebaker bumber for the first time since 55-56.



we are working on the bumbers before we take the body off the frame again.
the rear bumber needs to be cut, and some cool little details added.
check this picture..where the bumber is cut, some small lenses are made, and light bulbs under, to lighten up the licenseplate..what a detail right!?
